As the touring guitarist for The Shins and occasional collaborator with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jessica Dobson developed an audible appreciation for uniquely expressive guitar tones. This skill marries nicely with her piano chops in Deep Sea Diver, but her powerful, distinct vocals--part PJ Harvey acrobatics, part Siouxie Sioux swagger--are the star of this new project.
