In 2007, Kina joined YouTube, made a music video and entered herself into a contest. A few months later, her video for "Message From Your Heart" aired during the Super Bowl and its 97 million viewers. Since then, Kina has regularly posted her songs on YouTube, amassing more than 100 million views, and selling out shows throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia in support of her debut Stairwells. Most notably, her video for "In Your Arms" featured more than a quarter-million jelly beans (and 1 Kina Grannis) in one of the most polarizing (and delicious) stop-motion videos ever created.
