After her 2008 self-titled debut EP earned her a Best New Artist Juno Award, and her full-length The Listening went gold, Canadian electro-pop artist Lights was ready to explore collaborations on 2011's unexpected experimental album, Siberia. By choosing such left-field partners as live electronic outfit Holy F**k and rising rapper Shad, she opened up her sound dramatically, adding depth and detail to her production-based composition.
